Last year, we all signed up for a class to make gingerbread houses. Between the cost of the class and feeling rushed for time, we decided that this year, we would make our own...from scratch!
Trina, Judy, Karen, Lisa, and Diana rolling out the dough
MK busing doing something else!
Check out the wonderful spread that Lisa made for us. We had brunch while the house pieces were baking.
Some action shots from building our houses. Check out Trina's attention to detail!
Lisa's solution to everything...more frosting!
The Alberta clipper that came in from the North on Lisa's house! Poor little gingerbread men never saw it coming!

Those are so cute! How frustrating are they to make, though? Oh, no wait...you're like superwoman so I'm sure it was a breeze for you. :)
You know, it wasn't too difficult at all. Now, to try and do it with a young child would test their patience (and yours too!). It's definitely a better "group" project though because each of us brought 5 - 10 decorating items and to go out and purchase all of that stuff on your own would be more expensive than just buying the kits.
